The 2019 La Grande Rue "Cuvée 1959" Grand Cru constitutes the fifth release of this special cuvée. The floral element of the bouquet is heightened here, the rose petals joined by incense and potpourri, though still remaining firmly on the red side of the fruit spectrum. The palate has slightly more weight and viscosity. The richness of the growing season comes across more in this cuvée with heightened pepperiness toward the finish. Excellent.
